How are you holding up? Be honest. How are you handling all of this? How are you managing the stress of the world that we live in today? If I don’t consciously look at the bright side or the rainbow after the storm, I might not make it through these challenges.

If you are struggling to use positive thinking right now, I encourage you to read this blog and “fake it till you make it”. Look back at a previous blog entry, “Fake it till you make it” for more on this insightful catch phrase.

Something that is helping me get through each and every challenging day is to notice acts of kindness all around me. I’m reading an amazing book right now. It’s called The Power of Kindness by Piero Ferrucci. I highly recommend this inspirational read. It’s helping me stay focused on kindness over hate, evil, violence, suffering and death.

I have a challenge for all of us. It’s called The Kindness Challenge. I challenge you to stop and think about 1 to 3 acts of kindness you notice around you every single day. I recommend that you write and/or talk about these acts of kindness. When you let them out of your mind in a conversation, in an email/text and/or on a piece of paper, they hold more power as an influencing factor in your life.

Feel free to use this blog as a place to write these acts of kindness. By sharing the acts of kindness you witness, you are spreading this life-changing virtue. We all need kindness in our lives, now more than ever.

I’ll get us started…

Yesterday, I saw the following acts of kindness:

  1. A kind cashier at Acme. His big smile, warm greeting and polite nature was contagious.
  2. My partner tucking me in. He could have just passed me a blanket. Instead, he got up and tucked me in.
  3. A neighbor holding the door for me. Even though her hands were full, she held the door for me.

Anyone else?
