Look closely at the writing and illustrations of these pages. The simplicity speaks volumes!
My Mom bought me this book the other day, “The Boy, the mole, the fox and the Horse” by Charlie Mackesy. She told me that it reminded her of me. I was touched with this compliment. This book is filled with affirmations and simple life mantras to live by. I love this book and would recommend it to anyone of any age!
My Mom specifically showed me the page on the right and said this reminded her of me the most. I often say that I am perfectly imperfect. That is a mantra/affirmation of mine that I adopted about a year ago when I dedicated my life to emotional growth and wellness.
The ducks in the page on the left, remind me of myself. I may present like I have it all together. When in reality, I feel like I have none of it together most of the time. Rather than judging a book by it’s cover, let’s look beneath the surface at the legs to see how fast they are moving to keep us afloat.
We can look “perfect” on the outside and feel totally a mess on the inside. That is okay. That is life. You are perfectly imperfect just like me.
